The new season of “NCIS” shows that the lives of Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and Timothy McGee (Sean Murray) are greatly endangered.
Entertainment Weekly released the new promotional photograph as a build up for the upcoming premiere shows that these two special agents were in custody of terrorists in Paraguay. NCIS had entered the country during a search mission for a missing SEAL. The duo find that he was about to escape with some youngsters being trained to join a rebel group in the forests of Paraguay. The SEAL considered it as a personal mission because one of the trapped youth’s father had saved his life previously.
As per the story revealed, it had been two months since Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) had left with a helicopter to rescue the trapped youngsters. Gibbs and McGee held back to keep the rebels at bay. The two appear severely thrashed and hassled in the photo. While McGee seems to have given up, we could see a glimpse of fight in Gibbs’ eyes which make us feel that he has faith in his NCIS team and believes that they will ultimately rescue the duo.
The buzz is that Gibbs might just focus on ensuring his younger colleague’s safety over his own and would try and get him back to the US safely. On the other hand, Deliah (Margo Harshman), Gibb’s pregnant wife is eagerly waiting for his return. While it is not clear whether or when the rebels will kill their captives, it is apparent that their fate is in the hands of the rebels. The only hope for Gibbs and McGee have their only chance in running away whenever a window of opportunity opens.
There are also reports about the return of Anthony DiNozzo Sr. (Robert Wagner) in the new season of the show. He was last seen in the Season 14, which showed NCIS teaming up with the Sherlocks. Even his son Tony (Michael Weatherly) is likely to be present in the new season. He had recently stated his desire for a reunion with the cast members of the show that he had left last year.
Season 15 of “NCIS” will premiere on Sept. 26 at 8 p.m. EDT on CBS.
