News has been going around that a Shazam! movie is on its way. And recently Warner Bros. and DC Films have announced that Zachary Levi is set to play the hero of the Shazam! movie. With this news having been announced, fan artworks are being released and they imagine what Levi may look like in this role.
On DC Comics Reddit community, an artist (Datrinti) took a spin on Shazam! with Levi in action and after his transformation into the hero.
The photo has Levi in a costume that looks like an updated version of Shazam’s classic outfit complete with the flowing white cape, though this imagining appears to have more bronze-toned accents rather than the hero’s more familiar gold touches.
This latest image is an artistic look at Levi as the hero that fans have seen since the casting announcement was made. BossLogic, the internet’s famous artist had posted an art of Levi as Shazam. The actor himself had shared this piece, and commented “honored and greatly humbled” and also said that he is working out to get in physical condition for this role. He joked and said, he will be in the gym “for the rest of forever”.
Shazam! now has a 3.55 out of 5 ComicBook.com User Anticipation Rating and this makes it the 20th most anticipated upcoming comic book movie.
Shazam! will open in theaters on April 5, 2019
