The well-known personality, Dorothy Stratten, died at a young age. Her husband, Paul Snider, killed her at the age of 20. Her husband suspected her to have an affair with the director Peter Bogdanovich.

Stratten wanted a divorce from Snider to be with Bogdanovich. Snider hired a private detective, and he also bought a used shotgun from a private seller. On 14^th August 1980, Stratten arrived for a meeting with Snider at his rented house at noon.

Dorothy met Paul Snider when she worked part-time at a local dairy. After that, they began to date. Snider hired a photographer to take nude Dorothy photographs, and he sent them to Playboy in 1978.

That year, she moved to Los Angeles and became a finalist for the 25^th Anniversary Great Playmate Hunt. In 1979, Dorothy became the Playmate of the Month, and the actress had small roles in Americathon, Skatedown U.S.A.
