As depicted in the Infinity War Comics, the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War film will indeed feature the deaths of some of our favorite superheroes. The only question remains to be answered is, ‘who all will be killed by the Mad Titan, Thanos in this epic battle?’
At the moment, there is not much of a clue about what Avengers: Infinity War has in store for us. If the film been called Infinity War – Part 2 then we could have guessed that it tells the story of how Thanos arrived on the blue planet. However, we never know that the film might just finish the story of the Mad Titan and by the time it reaches its final credits, the earth might get into the groove for a new threat to its existence.
While time will show us what exactly happens in the film, we can be absolutely certain about the fact that some of the superheroes will die in it. There is absolutely no chance of that great team of superheroes returning with zero casualties after a battle with the Mad Titan in possession of the Infinity Gauntlet. It won’t just make any sense and we have already seen them all return to safety in Captain America: Civil War. Therefore, it is time for Marvel to take the battle a few notches higher and kill some of the iconic superheroes.
Let’s guess as to which six superstars are most likely to die in this epic battle and how!
6. Scarlet Witch
Although, the most plausible scenario will be for Thanos to simply rip the Infinity Stone off from Vision’s head, it sounds absurd why Marvel would kill him in the very next film after introducing him. One more interesting angle could be that instead of taking the Infinity Stone from Vision, Thanos might just create a new one by absorbing all the energy from the body of the Scarlet Witch. The fact that she will sacrifice her own life trying to save Vision would have great shock value for the audience.
Most people are unlikely to expect such an end to Wanda who is one of the very few female superheroes in the MCU – we know that the close connection of her powers and the Infinity Gauntlet might even result in a resurrection. Since Vision’s death is a foregone conclusion, it is this twist which is bound to shock the viewers more.
5. Star-Lord
We don’t want to see the Star-Lord dying, but, his death has already been depicted in the comic books, therefore, it is an event definitely on the cards in the movie as well. The comic showed him and Nova sacrificing their lives to kill Thanos and later it was found that the trio managed to survive. Therefore, if we see Peter Quill undertaking such a daring move to finish off the horrible reign of Thanos, it will certainly be a tremendous hero moment. Not to forget that this unforeseen scenario would be far more interesting for fans rather than a typical take down of the Mad Titan by either Thor or Iron-Man.
This incident can also make them undertake a bid to bring the Star-Lord back to life and such a narrative would form the premise of Guardians of Galaxy Vol. 3. The truth is, you can’t just put an end to a character as fascinating as him. The twist of seeing the leader of the Guardians of the Galaxy team die, even if he remained dead for half a film or so would be a tremendous one. Also, if Peter ends up saving the day for the planet by killing Thanos then the Guardians will undoubtedly be rated as the most powerful proctectors of the planet Earth.
