We are pretty sure the Netflix original series Stranger Things may have brought in at least a million new subscribers as it met with massive critical and financial success last year. Stranger things was a dark horse that appeared like a cliched 80’s inspired TV series that would not even get a second season, but once people started watching, it blew away everybody’s mind. The show was something that we all needed, and it hit all the right nostalgic spots.Â
Stranger Thing is now one of the most anticipated shows from the Netflix; some are even comparing its popularity to massive shows like Walking Dead and Game Of Thrones. Today Stranger Things team has shared some new content on its Twitter handle related to season 2. The next season will be available for streaming on October 27th, 2017. A new apocalyptic poster and a small teaser video have also been revealed. The team of Stranger things is going to dominate the Comic Con on July 21st, under the banner name of “The New Warriors.”
Their Comic-Con panel will be lead by David Harbour, who is playing the role of Police Chief Jim Hopper in the show. By the way, David is also going to play the character of Hellboy in the franchise reboot. All the titular kids from the series will also attend the conference, hence don’t forget to grab some autographs! During the comic con, a full trailer for the second season will be displayed to the attendees. Here’s the cloud shattering poster of Stranger Things Season 2.
Interestingly, Bobby Brown’s character “Eleven” is missing from the poster. The poster clearly shows that the doors to the “upside down” dimension are still open and it is changing the reality of our world.Â
For fans, Netflix has also released a timeline of the events that took place in the universe of Stranger Things.
The time-stamps state that the covert operations MKUltra was initiated in 1953 in the town of Hawkins. They started the experimentation on human subjects in the same year. On November 6, 1979, David Harbour’s character, Jim came back to Hawkins. One of the main characters Will Byers disappeared from Hawkins and reached another dimension on November 6th, 1983. One of the victims Barbara Holland was consumed by the creatures of the alternate dimension on November 8, 1983. Here is a nice little official synopsis of the season 2.
“It’s 1984 and the citizens of Hawkins, Indiana are still reeling from the horrors of the demagorgon and the secrets of Hawkins Lab. Will Byers has been rescued from the Upside Down, but a bigger, sinister entity still threatens those who survived.”
Stranger Things has become a pop culture phenomenon, and its anticipation is almost equivalent to a blockbuster movie. The show is being considered one of the biggest events in Halloween. Here’s the teaser for the Season 2 of Stranger Things.
