Disney has authoritatively found its Aladdin, Jasmine, and Genie for the “Aladdin” live-action remake. The three cast individuals were declared at the D23 Expo on Saturday.

The House of Mouse might be having issues finding its main Aladdin for the remake of the 1992 animated classic before D23. However, the same can’t be said for Jasmine and Genie. As it is, Naomi Scott has formally been given a role as Princess Jasmine.

While Will Smith will be playing the role of the Genie.

Mena Massoud, who’s relatively a newcomer has joined the cast as Aladdin. In addition to this, Guy Ritchie was declared as the director.

John August, whose credits incorporate “Big Fish,” has penned down the new “Aladdin” script. Dan Lin, who has produced Ritchie’s two “Sherlock Holmes” films for Warner Bros., is producing “Aladdin” through his Lin Pictures company. Furthermore, Jonathan Eirich is the executive producer.

The first animated movie was a comic take on the Arabic folk story of a young fellow who was given three wishes by a genie trapped in a lamp.

“Aladdin” was the most astounding grossing movie of the year in 1992. It won Academy Awards for best score and best song for “A Whole New World.”  Furthermore, Scott was recently seen as the Pink Ranger in Saban’s “Power Rangers.” Smith will now been seen in Netflix’s dream actioner “Brilliant.”
