For her part in Liv And Maddie she earned the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Performer in Children’s Programming.
After making her debut with Liv And Maddie she released her debut single “If Only”, for Descendants. Her EP Bloodshot / Waste, was released in 2019. She grew up in Seattle, Washington but at the age of 14 moved to Los Angeles to have an acting career.

She faced a lot of bullying in school which made her more passionate about acting. Her father passed away when she was 15 and in his honour she changed her legal name to Dove, his nickname for her. Her debut in acting happened with the role of Young Cosette in the Bainbridge Performing Arts (BPA) stage production of Les Misérables.She then followed it up with another lead role in BPA’s The Secret Garden.

It was after all of these that she caught her big break in Liv And Maddie which proved to be a huge hit for Disney. She also started her music career by releasing a cover of “On Top of the World” by Imagine Dragons as a promotional single. Her first Non Disney role came in the form of Liz Larson in Barely Lethal.

She became a part of another Disney franchise in the form of Descendants. She was committed to her Liv And Maddie co-star Ryan McCartan from August 2013 until 2016. They were at one point engaged. She is currently in a relationship with Thomas Doherty.
