Darth Vader’s unpredictable and dangerous personality is the outcome of all sorts tragedy, horrors, and obviously questionable decisions.
Can you ever imagine Darth Vader to dance with anybody?
Nobody would even dare to ask Vader’s hand for dance in a party after knowing his horrendous acts, but someone did. And they didn’t even request him; they just ordered him that he has to dance or else the consequences would be dire for the Sith Lord.
Well, the outcome of that conversation didn’t go well for the “Dancing” party, but we as the readers got to witness a hilarious Vader moment that peeled off another bad-ass side of Vader’s temperament.
This Star Wars canon event happened in Darth Vader Annual #1, by Kieron Gillen, Leinil Yu, Jerry Alanguilan, Joe Caramagna, and Jason Keith. These guys have been doing a fantastic job at exposing hair-raising deeds of Darth Vader beyond the movies and animated series.
In this story, Darth Vader travels to a planet Sho-Tarun to enquire why their officials are failing to meet their monthly offerings to the Empire. The Duke manages to get Vader in a party, as considers him just another goon from the Empire; he tells our-not-so-friendly Sith Lord that he has to dance with her Noble daughter. The guide tried to interrupt and tell the Duke that this won’t be a good idea, but it was his territory, and it was an enormous insult to turn down a noble woman for a dance in their planet.
Duke decided to heavy-hand Vader, but he managed to get force choked and thrown away to the other side of the ballroom.
Vader even cracks a spectacular comeback to suppress other interventions like these between him and his mission.
