A Paul Walker documentary is currently in the making. The Fast and the Furious star died in a tragic car accident back in 2013. He was one of the lead stars in the Fast and Furious movies, which went on to become one of the biggest franchises. In honor of his legacy, a documentary is being made that will showcase his life and death, as he’s remembered fondly by many.
The documentary is being produced by the Paramount Network, along with a Heath Ledger documentary titled I Am Heath Ledger. It will be produced by Derik Murray, and Network Entertainment is also involved in the project. The documentary titled I Am Paul Walker doesn’t have a release date yet, but the project development is running smoothly as per schedule. Adrian Buitenhuis, who directed I Am Heath Ledger, has also been asked to direct this documentary which will look deeply into the life and career of Paul Walker.
Additional details about the documentary will be announced in the coming months. According to the producers, I Am Paul Walker will feature interviews with those who worked with Paul Walker during his career, including his costars from the Fast and Furious movies, as well as family and friends who knew him best. In addition to focusing on his prolific career as a movie star, the documentary will also focus on his environmental awareness for the world’s oceans and marine life, as well as his philanthropic work in helping to rebuild Haiti after the nation was hit by a devastating earthquake.
Paul Walker was killed in November 2013. He and a friend who was driving a Porsche at the time were both killed in the car accident, just a couple of months after his 40th birthday. Walker was currently filming Furious 7 at the time. The filmmakers had to resort to using CGI along with assistance from his brothers to complete the final scenes in the movie and give his character, Brian O’Connor, a final send-off from the franchise. His death was confirmed via his official Facebook account.

Apart from the Fast and Furious movies, Paul Walker starred in other notable roles such as Varsity Blues, and She’s All That. Derik Murray has produced many successful documentaries for Paramount Network in the past, including I Am Heath Ledger. He also produced the network’s documentaries on John F. Kennedy Jr., Muhammad Ali and Bruce Lee.
