For a major portion of the mid-‘0s, everyone thought Hayden Christensen would have been Hollywood’s next big name. However, thereafter, he essentially vanished. Where the hell did he go and what brought about his disappearance? Read on to find out…

1. Star Wars Didn’t Help Him

Of course, everybody is talking about Star Wars today. However, after the prequels came out, the franchise had unquestionably experienced more promising times. Christensen’s execution as Anakin Skywalker often singled out for scoring. What’s more, the Razzie Awards had a field day with Christensen as  was honored with the Worst Supporting Actor for both Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith.

2. Star Wars Ruined It

Incidentally, before Attack of the Clones turned out in 2002, Christensen was considered to be one of the quickest rising artists in Hollywood. A lot of that had to do with his execution in the 2001 Kevin Kline drama Life as a House. In this, he played a child whose father tries to reconnect with him after he takes in he’s dying of cancer. Christensen was even said to be in contention for a nomination in the Oscars designation. He missed the award. However, with Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild nominations, one may contend he was 6th in line that year.

In the interim, sandwiched in the middle of Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith was Shattered Glass. In that film, Christensen was praised for his depiction of a journo Stephen Glass, who composed fabricated stories for The New Republic in the ’90s. Shattered Glass turned out to be a high indication of his acting skills. However, it got far way less attention than Sith two years after that. Furthermore, it wasn’t good attention. Do you recall the chuckles when Anakin swung to the Dark Side?
