Recently, an online petition has been launched that calls for Warner Bros. to release Joss Whedon’s cut of Justice League.
The petition, is aiming for 100 signatures and appears to be a tongue-in-cheek response to the one that had asked for Snyder’s full cut. It was started by Thomas Martha who hails from Atlantis, Florida.
It begs for a cut with much more humor and Whedon’s style of superhero storytelling. The movie continues to draw opinions, with Snyder supporters countering that Whedon’s style had strayed far away from what DCEU had done initially.
While the movie is underperforming in box office reception, the lighter tone has been pointed out as a potential turning point for this studio. Fans believe the movie’s tonal shift is due to Whedon coming on board.
Now in theaters, Justice League stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Raymond Fisher as Cyborg, Willem Dafoe as Vulko, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta, Amber Heard as Mera and J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon.
