Art is the best way to express what is one’s mind. With brush strokes and a whole lot of imagination, a lot can be created. In recent years, we have seen many reimagined modern and contemporary versions of our beloved Disney princesses that we grew up watching, loving and admiring. The most recent and latest interpretation by a Chilean digital artist, Fernanda Suarez, is no doubt the “fairest of them all.”
Kik-starting with an art of Snow White in July, Suarez slowly went on to illustrate 7 princesses in the hip, present-day fashion. With a lot of imagination of “what a 2017 princess would look like”, she has given Disney princess’ fans a whole of joy.
These beautiful sketches look like they really do follow Luxury Hair tutorials on YouTube and do their shopping at Forever 21. They even may post selfies with their ‘prince charmings’ on Instagram, and yes, they all agree that NAKED2 is surely the best eyeshadow palette. They even campaign non-stop on social media for equal rights for dwarfs, marine wildlife, and big cat conservation- just like the girls of today.
Suarez is still working on the series and creating more princesses. She is currently taking votes on who to start design next (Rapunzel and Merida). Scroll down and see the incredible work that she has done.
