In 2004, the actress lost one her son while her third husband, Dick Ebersol, and her two sons traveled on a private plane crashed during an attempted takeoff from Montrose Regional Airport.
Her husband and son Charles had survived, but her another son, Teddy, who was 14 years old then died with the pilot and a flight attendant. Teddy Ebersol’s Red Sox Field at Lederman Park has been named in memory of her son.
