Another Star Wars movie, The Last Jedi is preparing itself to dominate the international box offices this December, and once again the Vanity fair magazine got the chance to reveal a closer look at the major characters of Episode 8.

The first cover features, Daisy Ridley as Rey and Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker in the planet Ahch-To, where Luke will give the training to Rey to fight against the Dark-Siders. One of the interesting things to notice here is that the Vanity fair writers have refrained using the word “Jedi” or the “Light Side”, they have just written “The Force”.

The second cover shows all the baddies from Episode 7 except the Supreme Leader Snoke. Captain phasma can be seen for the first time without her helmet, the new scar of Kylo Ren is evident, and General Hux is rocking a new suave hairstyle. Kylo Ren’s expression confirms that he is still battling his demons from the “Light” side of the force. Captain Phasma looks like she is going to take revenge from Finn for throwing her into the sewage drains of the Starkiller’s base.

The third cover is reserved for our Resistance troops. Here we can see Poe Dameron, Finn and a new character Rose Tico played by Kelly Marie Tran. There are countless fan-theories pointing out that Poe and Finn are more than friends and they might be romantically involved with each other. Well, at least in this picture they are looking just “Friends”.

The fourth cover is dedicated to General Leia in all her amazing glory. She is looking like a classy futuristic Leader who truly has the control over her army and the respect of her followers. According to reports, she is going to play a more crucial part in “The Last Jedi” compared Episode 7. Carrie Fisher’s strong character of Princess Leia has always been an idol for young ladies from past 40 years!

These pictures were taken by award-winning photographer Annie Leibovitz, who is known for highlighting the emotions of the characters in her photographs. Here all the magazine covers in high resolution:
