On season 12 of Dancing with the Stars, Oksana was a member of the first “Troupe.” She’d be a part of the cast for five seasons, until season 16. She went on to perform with Ballroom with a Twist after quitting Dancing with the Stars.

She also choreographed for the television show “So You Think You Can Dance.” Platero was named as a professional dancer for Series 14 of Strictly Come Dancing in 2016. She was teamed with Robert “Judge” Rinder, a television celebrity. The duo was eliminated in the quarterfinals and placed fifth overall. Platero confirmed his departure from Strictly Come Dancing after one series on June 21, 2017.
