The temptation of capitalizing on the current trend of Game of War has made EA launch its own multiplayer base building strategy game conceptualized upon the Star Wars Universe. The game is aptly titled Star Wars: Rise to Power.
The new game is based on the battle between the Empire and the newly formed New Republic, and it is the players who will be crucial to the victory of any side. The game moves shape the creation of starships, the establishment of bases and ultimately the future of the Galaxy.
“In Star Wars: Rise to Power, the war between the Empire and the dawning New Republic continues to rage on – and players influence who will ultimately reign supreme. Every move helps to shape the fate of the galaxy in-game as players choose a faction, establish their base, and begin building a fleet of starships.
“Players will form or join an alliance and engage in epic galactic warfare with other players from around the world in the hopes of emerging victorious. Power is earned by outwitting adversaries in carefully orchestrated attacks and by building a mighty coalition through the loyalty of other players. In Star Wars: Rise to Power, players embrace destiny by engaging in diplomacy or deception to ultimately become a leader of the Empire or New Republic.”
The market is currently flooded with the games and many of them like Final Fantasy XV: A New Empire, are making a lot of money, irrespective of how impressive their gameplay is. In fact, the team behind ‘A New Empire,’ is the same team that had also made ‘Game of War.’ It will be interesting to see whether EA can mint money with ‘Rise to Power,’ or not? What’s even better is that you don’t have to wait long to get the feel of this game as EA is currently welcoming gamers to test-play the game.
Go to the announcement page on their portal, and you can find the option for a pre-alpha test signup. Answer some questions about your gaming style, confirm Google Play address and voila, you might just be able to download and play the game before everyone else does.
