The previous attempts at making Video Games into live-action movies or animation series have been abysmal. There were some good ones like the first Mortal Kombat film and the first Resident Evil movie, but rest of them were of the “Manure” quality.

However, it looks like the Netflix’s Castlevania series is going to change that wave. If you are one of the 100 million subscribers of Netflix, you can watch the first four episodes of the much anticipated Castlevania Animated series. People thought that this show is just going to be a filler series by Netflix, but when the first trailer (you can check below) was launched everybody lost their shit!

The trailer is fantastic, and main-man behind this series Adi Shankar pumped up everyone by comparing it with “Game Of Thrones.” He had said that it would be filled with blood, gore, violence, and sex. Believe us; he was not kidding when he said that.

The response to the first season is so great that Netflix has already announced that they are going to release the next season very soon with eight episodes, which is double in number compared to the first season.

The people involved in bringing this series together is epic! Warren Ellis (Who made the Tony Stark famous in Marvel Cinematic Universe), Fred Seibert (The cartoonist behind the legendary Adventure Time), and Adi Shankar, whose fan-made movie shorts on Punisher to Power Rangers are revered as Bible by the purists of those franchises!

Here’s the little official synopsis of the show by Netflix!

“Inspired by the classic video game series, Castlevania is a dark medieval fantasy following the last surviving member of the disgraced Belmont clan, trying to save Eastern Europe from extinction at the hand of Vlad Dracula Tepe himself. The animated series is from Frederator Studios, a Wow! Unlimited Media company, written by best-selling author and comic book icon Warren Ellis and executive produced by Warren Ellis, Kevin Kolde, Fred Seibert and Adi Shankar.”
