While many people use Halloween to transform themselves into something new, Ming-Na Wen had used this holiday to revisit her most iconic roles.
The Agents of SHIELD actress dressed up in a hoodie inspired by Street Fighter’s Chun-Li. As fans of this franchise remember, Wen had played the role in the 1994 live-action movie. Wen had joked about this costume on Instagram, asking if it is “cosplay and work.”
In another post, Wen had referenced her role as the title character in Mulan. She had posed for a photo with Stephanie Gee, who dressed as the movie’s Matchmaker.
While this live-action Street Fighter may not be the best of adaptations, it has gravitated into “so bad, it is good”. Talks of a reboot have been floating around and Wen is hopeful that it will get the property right.
“I don’t know, they tried,” Wen said at a convention earlier this year. “I don’t know how well the [young Chun-Li] revival one did. I mean, I’m sure they’ll try to reboot it again, because I think the game is still pretty popular. You know, the [Street Fighter] game. I hope they do it right.”
Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD will return on December 1st, following the conclusion of Marvel’s Inhumans.
