Lynn Collins is an American actor who is popular for her role in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. She has also made small-screen appearances such as True Blood (2008) and Manhunt Unabomber (2017). Born on May 16th, 1977, Collins is from Houston, Texas. She spent some of her childhood years growing up in Singapore and spent her summers in Japan.
She attended the Singapore American School and joined Klein High School when she relocated back to Texas. It was during a childhood Christmas pageant contest when she played Mrs. Claus that Collins recognized her affinity towards acting.

She pursued Fine Arts from Julliard School’s Drama Division in 1999. She is of English, Scottish and Irish descent. A 1999 episode of American crime series Law & Order: Special Victims Unit had Collins as a debutante in the acting industry. She joined the silver screen in 2002 with the film ‘Never Get Outta the Boat’.

Later, she starred in a film called ‘Down With Love’ and played the role of Beatnik Girl. She appeared in a string of period films such Live Schreiber’s Hamlet and Romeo and Juliet portraying the characters of Ophelia and Juliet respectively.

She got the opportunity of working with Al Pacino Joseph Fiennes and Jeremy Irons in the musical Merchant of Venice and characterized Portia. She also starred in films like 50 First Dates, 13 Going on 30.

She acquired the high profile roles of Dawn Green in the HBO vampire series True Blood (2008) and the hero’s love interest in X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009) starring Hugh Jackman. In 2012, Collins secured her first lead role as an actor in Dejah Thoris’ John Carter.

The musical Merchant of Venice and the film X-Men Origins saw her get nominated for awards. Collins is currently single and has been married twice before. Once with actor 21 year old actor Steven Strait which lasted from 2007-2013 and another with actor Matthew Boyle from 2014-2016. They have a son together called Asher Hendrix Boyle.
