Not much time is left before The Last Jedi releases and a short while back there was a treat for fans. This was something that the fans had been waiting for more than 30 years, and it made us all delighted to see Luke Skywalker enter the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon. Have a look at the latest TV spot here.
At the time of the release of The Force Awakens, we all believed that we would Luke Skywalker once again join Han Solo and Leia Organa and the story finally disclosing that Luke had been in solitude on Ahch-To. However, we saw him only in the closing sequence, and it made us wait for years before we could get to see his character evolve further.
The Force Awakens made us realize that Star Wars is about expecting the unexpected and it changed the way we approach The Last Jedi. The new TV spot has created a level of frenzy that we hadn’t witnessed ever since we saw Han and Chewie get on the Falcon and proclaim, “We’re home.”
Apart from the opening sequences on board the Millennium Falcon, the remainder of the TV spot is a rehash of footage and visuals seen earlier. There are a few shots of Poe, Finn, Leia and Snoke from fresh angles albeit from the same sequences that we earlier saw in teasers and previous promotional materials.
Another unmistakable scene in the TV spot is the last moments that show Luke lying flat on the ground in the rain and saying, “This is not going to go the way you think,” and then we see a shot of Rey turning on her lightsaber and adopt a battle stance.
This might be a case of superb editing or simply a teaser toying with the idea of Rey going Dark, but, it certainly is a gripping scene in any case.
Unfortunately, we don’t get to see any fresh glimpses of Snoke, but, we hear a new dialogue, “Darkness rises, and the Light to meet it.” No clue as to who he was addressing, but, it certainly hints at the balance among Kylo and Rey and the double persona that they have in this story.
We will know it all on December 15th when Star Wars: The Last Jedi releases.
