Once upon a time LEGO sets used to be meant for kids, but, that is no longer the case. USA Today reveals that this Ultimate Collector Series Millennium Falcon set is made up of a mind-boggling 7,541 pieces. Thus, it is by far the largest LEGO set ever in the history. Before this, the largest LEGO was the Taj Mahal set which also comprised an intimidating 5,922 pieces. As far as the Millennium Falcon series is concerned, its last edition released in 2007 had 5,197 pieces. While a compilation of over 5000 pieces is anything but, a kid’s play, but, when we compare it to this newly launched set which has almost 30 percent more pieces, that one still pales away. The 33 inches long, 22 inches wide and 8 inches tall new Millenium Falcon LEGO has an intricately detailed interior that will be simply awesome for those in love with Star Wars franchise. Similar to the movies, the LEGO Falcon has a cockpit with for action figures, a living room with chairs and Delarik game board. Wonder who can man the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon LEGO spaceship? You have the option of Han, Princess Leia, Chewbacca and C-3PO from the days of The Empire Strikes Back. This is also going to feature an old Han, Rey, Finn, and BB-8 from the film Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The set also offers a few Porgs which will be seen for the first time in Star Wars: The Last Jedi releasing on December 15.
It is interesting to see that this LEGO set has been unveiled online just before the Force Friday which would see lot of new toys related to Star Wars: The Last Jedi being released. There is a long list of events that Lucasfilm and Disney have planned for the Force Friday and the toys are certainly going to reveal a lot of interesting information about the sequel to Star Wars: The Force Awakens. However, don’t go shopping yet as this Ultimate Collector Series Millenium Falcon is not hitting the store shelves on Friday, September 1, but, it will make you wait till October 1 to give you an opportunity to dive into this huge ocean of LEGO pieces.
Now the most important question is how much do you need to shell out to own the new LEGO Millennium Falcon set? Well, this is certainly some heavy duty shopping stuff because it comes with an intimidating price tag of $799.99. Too much for a toy, eh? Well, the cost of this LEGO is certainly high, but, the high of owning the world’s largest and most impressive Star Wars LEGO set is also quite a big deal.
