In 2007 she debuted as a part of the girl group Girls’ Generation, who got on to be one of the best-selling artists in South Korea and one of the county’s most prominent girl groups nationwide.

Her formal dance training started in elementary school. At her community’s small hip-hop school, she discovered hip hop, jazz, and Latin dance.
