Star Wars fans were in for a shock on June 7 when John Boyega suddenly tweeted, “Time to play a villain ey..” Amid speculations on The LastJedi, Boyega quickly retweeted that it was not related to Star Wars.

Fans can now relax that Finn will definitely not be seen in a negative role in the next movie – which would have been a rude shock especially after all the redemption drama that was created in The Force Awakens.

However, given the fact that half the world resides on Twitter these days and Star Wars has a huge fan following, John Boyega had to give a few clarifications when his harmless tweet was inadvertently directed towards Finn.

While that might have doused the fire a bit, Mark Hamill’s entry set up the twitter abuzz one more time. “See how easy it is to accidentally leak a spoiler, son? (Hope you didn’t say anything about OUR relationship in #EpVIII) #ScaredSithless,” he responded to Boyega.

The conversation went on for a couple more tweets with Boyega asking his on screen dad to train him on Poe’s blaster overheats and fighting whacks.

It was Hamill who finally drew a close by speculating that they had probably spoken a bit too much. Whew! Twitter heaved a sigh of relief. That was indeed getting too close for comfort!
