The rumor mill has been churning for months now about Star Wars Episode VIII, and there have been things that could be credible to things that are down right ludicrous.
One of the many that we have seen come about is the though that Hayden Christensen may return to the Star Wars saga to reprise his role as Darth Vader. There have even been rumors (although from sources that have come to be unreliable of just down right wrong) that the actor has been spotted on set filming “flashback” scenes.
However, a recent interview with Christensen revealed that nothing seems to already be in the works for the actor who was mainly the “whooping boy” for a lot of the prequels shortcomings.
Fans lamented that his acting was “flat,” or “wooden,” or just down right bad. So if the news that it doesn’t appear that the actor has any part so far is any solace to you, keep reading. During his recent interview with etalkCTV, the actors says this about reprising his role:
“Oh absolutely yeah, no, in a heartbeat for sure. Being a part of that world was a huge deal for me and you know, was a good four to five years of my life and I have fond memories and good friendships from that whole time, but I don’t know, if they ever gave me the call I’d sign up in a heartbeat yeah.”
So, if this interview is the telling sign, unless being coy, Christensen is NOT in fact already involved in production with any of the new Star Wars projects. Are you happy about this? Or would you like to see him return to the big screen as Darth Vader or Anakin once again?
