Former professional Czech biathlete Gabriela Koukalova or Soukalova was born on 1st November 1989 in Jablonec nad Nisou, Czechoslovakia. She appears from a family that is implicated with the winter sports.
Her first year in biathlon was 2005, and she first arose in the World Cup on 11th December 2009. The giant experiment in her growing career was when she elected to join the 2010 Vancouver Olympics team.

She partook only in 2 events. Afterward, an extended almost two years followed during which Gabriela didn’t impress either shooting or skiing. On 14th December 2012, she reached her first-ever World Cup race – the 7.5 km sprint.

At the 2013 World Championships in Nove Mesto, Czech Republic, she won a bronze medal with the mixed relay. But the acme of the season was the Olympics in Sochi in 2014 February.

Gabriela won 2 silver medals – in the mass start and the mixed relay. She accepted her first discipline career title. On 18th December 2014, Gabriela earned the 7.5 km sprint in Pokljuka.

She had accomplishment and three first places with the relay team in Oberhof, the next week in Ruhpolding and Holmenkollen. Gabriela is the first Czech biathlete in history with such accomplishments.

In the year 2016 13th May, She wedded to Czech professional badminton player Petr Koukal. In April 2018, she disclosed her autobiography Jina; in the book, she uncovered a long history of eating disorders.
