EA, a company which is willing to level with us about the deficiencies in last year’s sports games, is coming out clean about the inadequacies of 2015’s Star Wars Battlefront. The latest trailer for the game’s November sequel makes this clear.
The 2015 Battlefront not only lacked the solo campaign that the new game has. It launched with a few maps, few characters, and vehicles, especially for its flight combat mods. More was added via paid DLC.
Today’s trailer walks us through the uptick in content.
But one must note that numbers are not everything. The previous Battlefront game launched with 9 multiplayer modes. And this game has five. EA does not have a chart for this in the video. 5 is a decent start, and EA teased a “live service” that will bring more stuff into this game.
Battlefront II is out for PC, PS4, and Xbox One on November 17.
