She was born on 28^th August 1989 in West Palm Beach, Florida, in the United States. Her mother is Lori Pope and her father is Lenny Pope.

When Cassadee was in high school, she formed a band with her friend in 2008 but the band disbanded before signing to any labels. Later, she became a part of the band Hey Monday and she was the lead vocalist there. The first album of the band is Hold on Tight and it was released in 2008.
