Tony Stark, Bruce Banner, Doctor Strange, and Wong come together

The whole MCU is teaming up for the first time, combining science and magic as the Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) and Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) join forces with the magicians Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Wong (Benedict Wong).

There is no idea as to how Banner returned to Earth as his last appearance was in space accompanying Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and Loki (Tom Hiddleston), however, his dishevelled appearance might be related to the fact that Thor’s ship was waylaid by the Mad Titan (Josh Brolin) in the mid-credits scene of Thor: Ragnarok.

Hulk’s breaking into Doctor Strange’s premises before meeting his scientific fellow Tony Stark is fascinating, however, seeing Tony Stark flanking a grim looking Strange and Banner working with Wong to control the damage is definitely something worth anticipating.

“Get this man a shield.”

Chadwick Boseman quickly became a fan favorite by his portrayal of Black Panther in Captain America: Civil War, and we had last seen him giving shelter to the fugitive duo of Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) and Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan).

The remote and technologically superior African country Wakanda ruled by T’Challa is sheltering some of the Avengers and most probably an Infinity Stone as well. Therefore, the territory assumes great significance in the Infinity War saga. The ex-Captain America is without his shield and supplies, and Wakanda is the source of Vibranium (the key element used in the impenetrable shield of Captain America). The presence of T’Challa as the provider of Captain America might result in a fabulous pairing between these new friends. During the massive Wakandan battle, we even saw Steve with something similar to Black Panther’s gauntlets.  Since Wakanda is technologically far superior, T’Challa might can also supply the former Captain America with an improved shield capable of inflicting serious damage as a weapon.

“Dread it. Run from it. Destiny still arrives.”

Thanos has eventually made his appearance on Earth.

Thanos is chasing the Infinity Stones, the powerful rocks as ancient as the universe and he seems to have already grabbed three of the total six needed which has made him incredibly powerful.

The Mad Titan is so dangerous that the whole Marvel universe has joined hands to stop him and his menacing words in the trailer suggest that terrible times are ahead for the Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.

So far Thanos has been visible only in brief sequences, beginning with The Avengers, then in Guardians of the Galaxy and then again towards the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron. Now that he has become extremely powerful and is in pursuit of the Infinity Stones, we know that he is not going to be stopped by any hurdle in his path.

The Hulkbuster Is Back.

This huge Iron-Man armor was jointly created by Tony Stark and Bruce Banner and was created to control the Hulk’s wild rampages. The massive suit was used by him against Hulk in Age of Ultron when the Scarlet Witch’s mental manipulation led to Hulk becoming an uncontrollable monster and now that the heroes will be overwhelmed by Thanos’ army of the Outriders, they need as much help as possible which makes the return of Iron-Man’s mightiest weapons a necessity.

The Avengers Converge.

Wakanda is the location where the mightiest assembly of heroes takes place for the fierce battle against the apparently countless soldiers of Thanos.

Steve Rogers is at the forefront of the assault and is flanked by Black Widow (Scarlet Johnson), War Machine (Don Cheadle), Falcon (Anthony Mackie), Bucky, Hulk, Black Panther and the Wakandan army.

The Avengers: Infinity War synopsis mentions the “ultimate, deadliest showdown of all time” and now that the whole universe’s existence is on the line, not all of them will get through to Phase 4.

Avengers: Infinity War is scheduled to release on May 4.
