There was a photo leak from the CW’s Arrowverse crossover titled “Crisis On Earth-X,” set and it has revealed the first look at their version of Supergirl, the Nazi villain Overgirl.
The upcoming CW Seed animated series Freedom Fighter: The Ray, Earth-X is set in an alternate world where Nazi Germany was victorious in World War II. Prior to the events of DC Comics’ Crisis On Infinite Earths, this used to be the home to various former highly rated Comic heroes such as Plastic Man and the Freedom Fighters (Uncle Sam, Phantom Lady, The Ray, Doll Man, and others).
The Overgirl debuted in 2008 in DC’s comic Final Crisis #2, and she was a doppelganger of Power Girl and not the Supergirl. She was built out of genetic material sourced from Overman who was an evil version of Superman in a world where an infant Kal-El left Krypton in 1938 on a rocket and landed in the Nazi-controlled Sudetenland.
“Crisis On Earth-X” was announced in September and it will feature the various heroes of Arrow. Superheroes such as The Flash, Supergirl and the DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will do a two-night crossover depicting the incident of the other world’s villains attacking the wedding of Barry Allen and Iris West. This event will mark the arrival of Russell Tovey as The Ray, before the animated Freedom Fighters: The Ray premieres in December.
The four-episode crossover will be telecast on two nights on The CW and will start on Monday, Nov. 27 with Supergirland Arrow (a special night for a one-week duration) and will end Tuesday, Nov. 28, with the airing of The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow.
