If you’ve seen Star Wars: The Force Awakens, you would be aware that the vindictive Sith are still fit as a fiddle. Despite the fact that Darth Vader tossed Emperor Palpatine into space and killed himself in the process, the Sith legacy continues through the Supreme Leader Snoke. He is a puzzling hologram who commands the First Order, General Hux, and Kylo Ren. However, we actually have no clue about who he is. However, here are some fan hypotheses that may reveal something about him…
1. Another Padawan
There’s the Rule of Two among the Sith. In this, a Sith Lord can train just one junior Sith at a time. However, this is a rule that is broken continually, since the Sith have an issue with power and often kill their bosses when they get irritated. When Emperor Palpatine was called Darth Sidious, he trained Darth Vader, Darth Maul and Darth Tyranus. So, it’s totally conceivable that there are other, off-screen Sith in training all through any Star Wars film. Snoke could be a result of Plagueis, Tyranus, Sidious, or pretty much any individual who ever swung a saber for the sake of malevolence.
2. Darth Plagueis
Darth Plagueis was briefly mentioned in the prequel trilogy as a Sith Lord who had enough control over midi chlorians to create life and death at his own whims and fancies. We never see Plagueis, however we are aware that he was Palpatine’s master, and that the future Emperor murdered Plagueis during his sleep. The Expanded Universe details portray Plagueis in a way that appears to have similarities to the Snoke character we find in The Force Awakens.
