12 Amazing Facts About ‘Tales From the Crypt’.

10. IT MOVED TO THE UK FOR ITS FINAL SEASON.

After six seasons, Tales from the Crypt had pretty much depleted California’s store of on-screen characters and producers. For its last season, the creation moved to Ealing Studios in West London. Gil Adler, the producer, embraced the switch for empowering new faces and areas to be used. As an aftereffect of the change, Ewan McGregor and Bob Hoskins were among the performers who appeared on the show.

11. A CHRISTMAS ALBUM TOO.

Reminded that Freddy Krueger once performed with the Fat Boys, Kassir recorded some albums in character for Warner Bros. The first, Have Yourself a Scary Little Christmas, was released in 1994.

12. ALSO GOT REWORKED AS A GAME SHOW.

Secrets of the Crypt Keeper’s Haunted House was a 1996 production that highlighted Kassir and his puppet alter ego in a game show which was aired on Saturday mornings on CBS. Shot at Universal Studios Florida, groups of contestants connected with a green screen and 1990s-period PC representation while the Crypt Keeper insulted them. The effects were so peculiar that the show’s debut was postponed by a month. It kept going for one season only, yet that was sufficient to make some sort of TV history. As it is, by this point, the character had showed up on ABC, CBS, Fox, and HBO.
