Last night, the streets of Trump Tower witnessed a protest led by Michael Moore, Olivia Wilde, Marisa Tomei, Mark Ruffalo, and many other celebrities. Along with thousands of protestors, they teamed up to protest against the care-free comments made by President Donald Trump. This protest was also held as a candlelight vigil for Heather Heyer (32), the woman who was killed while protesting at the white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia.

What is surprising is that America’s president did not even recognize the protest outside of Trump Tower.

At a press conference, Donald Trump said that there were “good people on both sides.” This remark spread turmoil as it implied that he thought that a few neo-Nazis and white supremacist were good. The laid-back and delayed approach to the scenario in Charlottesville resulted in even Hollywood railing against him. The former Presidents, Bush Senior and George W. Bush with Republican Party released statements that condemned the acts of white supremacy and neo-Nazis. This is a step that the people of America are waiting for Donald Trump to do.

Actors, Zoe Kazan and Anna Baryshnikov, showed up when the protest burst out the previous night and were also present on Tuesday. Olivia Wilde carried a giant placard with “#RESIST” written on it. Wilde even started a chant, “Trump is not a legitimate President,””we reject fascism” and “we reject white supremacy.”

Ruffalo took to social media and shared images and videos from the protest. On Instagram, he posted a video where they talk about Nazis.

“There are two sides of this: people who fight Nazis, and Nazis, and that’s it,” he said.

Later, he added, “He’s allowed these people, he’s allowed fascism, he’s allowed the KKK, he’s allowed Nazis to show their ugly face, and we’re here to remind him there’s a cost for that.”

One can safely assume that the footage of the protest can be seen in Moore’s upcoming documentary titled, “Michael Moore in TrumpLand.” In the video, Michael Moore was shown wearing a hat that read “NO SURRENDER.” He had this to say:

“We want him to hear us. We want him to know that an American killed on American soil by a Nazi is not acceptable.”

Will President Trump step up to condemn the acts of white supremacy? Well, we just have to wait and see.
