10 Messed Up Cartoons.

6. The Animals of Farthing Wood

There’s more than one way to twist the brain of a little youngster. An approach to upset children is to show them unmitigated homicide and death.

The Animals Of Farthing Wood was a continuous weekly soap drama with incredible depth of character. However, it had a propensity for Whedoning its cast. As it is, the cast was developed them to the point where you adore them and then killed them off in shockingly realistic ways.

What truly struck home about ‘Farthing Wood was the continuous topic of the cruel indifference of nature. A well-known character could be doing his usual tasks just to be unceremoniously dispatched by a ravenous predator with no prior cautioning. Death was rarely brave or magnificent in Farthing Wood.

Yes, there was a considerable measure of blood and savagery over the span of the show. However, little could compare with the death of an old badger experiencing an onset of extreme mental deterioration in his last minutes.

5. Watership Down

This is another story based on spunky animals on a journey. Watership Down has, among its ‘highlights’, an inhumane imprisonment for rabbits and bunnies being choked to death in their burrows. When Marilyn Manson is the most fitting musical backup you can think of for it, you know you have something intriguing.

The producers of Watership Down have another, more irritating, film to their credit. It’s called ‘The Plague Dogs’ and is so unimaginably contorted that I would prefer not to display a scene from it. You’re most likely Googling it at this moment. I’d suggest that you don’t, yet you will. Don’t say that I didn’t caution you.
