Will Hela Take On Death’s Role As In Avengers: Infinity War?

In The Infinity Gauntlet comic book that has inspired Avengers: Infinity War, Thanos wiped out almost the whole universe with the Infinity Stones just to impress Death. Desperate to get her to love him, he tried again to woo her with his mastery over the powerful weapon before he is taken down by The Avengers and Adam Warlock.

It will be surprising if Death does not play some role in the proceedings. However, with Hela, Asgardian goddess of death, who is set to be introduced in Thor: Ragnarok, is it possible that she will take on the role of Death instead?

When asked in an interview, Marvel Studios President, Kevin Feige said that it might happen, but warned fans that Avengers: Infinity War might even play out differently than they expected:

“Anything is possible, but knowledge of the comics can be both beneficial to fans anticipating things, and also misleading. So you’ll have to see.”

As for what Cate Blanchett will be bringing to this role, Feige seems excited for us to see what she has in store for the villain:

“I would be psyched if I were you. Put it this way: Her part is wrapped, and we haven’t done any effects yet. Even without any effects at all — I’m talking dots on her costume, and green screen — it’s amazing.”

If Hela is used as a substitute for Death, the chances are that we will get our very first glimpse in Thor: Ragnarok. Avengers: Infinity War is a few years away, and if any upcoming Marvel movie will be used to tease Thanos’ arrival on Earth, that must be it.
