We are aware that Sony’s Venom film will feature Carnage as the baddie. However, despite everything, we don’t have any casting declarations for the character. Gotham’s Cameron Monaghan, who depicts the proto-Joker, is supposedly keen on taking up the part.
It’s presumably on account of Pandamanda on Twitter who thought of casting Monaghan. Here’s the conversation:

As I would see it, I think Monaghan is very young, thereby making it impossible to play opposite Tom Hardy’s Venom. Beyond any doubt, he could be dangerous and insidious in Gotham. However, that show is somewhat of a cartoon in itself. Sony may need somebody more seasoned to play the serial killer Cletus Kasady.
Long before The Amazing Spider-Man was even a thing, bits of gossip suggested that Jim Carrey might be playing Carnage. We know that he can be serious and insane at the same time. Yet, I believe he’s practically left the spotlight now (intentionally, as you may have guessed).
Until further notice, I don’t have anybody in mind to play a decent Carnage. Nevertheless, I truly like Pablo Schreiber from American Gods. He’s the person who plays the leprechaun Mad Sweeney. It would also be insane if they give Christian Bale the role as Kasady. After all, we are aware that he can play an American psycho as if it’s no one else’s business.
Venom will be released on 5th Oct., 2018.
