There is a great deal of excitement among the vast legions of DC fans as they eagerly wait for the mega team up movie Justice League which will release on November 17, 2017. The film’s test screenings have got rave reviews, and a lot of people have gone on to call the film “EPIC.”

Justice League has a powerful superhero cast which includes Batman (Ben Affleck), Superman (Henry Cavill), Wonder-woman (Gal Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), The Flash (Ezra Miller) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher). The Zack Snyder movie has been written by Chris Terrio, and its storyline revolves around the featured DC superheroes. The story begins where Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice ended, and it represents the Phase 1 of DC Cinematic Universe. These mighty superheroes are joining forces to take on a frightening and powerful enemy called Steppenwolf.

Superman had died at the end of Batman v Superman whereas Batman and Wonder Woman had embarked on the mission to put together the Justice League which was to be a squad of mighty superheroes who will take on a supervillain called Steppenwolf who was woken up by the turn of the events in the film. Steppenwolf happens to be the military general of Darkseid who dispatched parademons to abduct Batman and various Earth scientists in his bid to take possession of ApokoliptianMotherbox, which is the mightiest thing in the whole realm.

This is well known that Justice League will see Superman come back from dead and revive the team just when they had almost given up. However, there are various ways in which the revival of Man of Steel can take place. The depiction of Superman’s death was a cinematic adaptation of “Death of Superman” comic book storyline. Therefore, it would be logical to follow the same storyline for his resurrection as well.

In the comics, the entire Justice League team attended Superman’s funeral, however, something crazy happened. You may not believe it, but, the fact is that his grave got robbed. It might have been the handiwork of an organization like Project Cadmus which had its sights set on cloning the Superman or someone like The Eradicator who is on a mission to preserve the Kryptonian way of life. He could have stolen Superman’s body so that he could carry it to the fortress of solitude where he could put in on regeneration matrix that powers himself. (Eradicator is known as the Last Son of Krypton).

At the same time, four fakes arrive, and each one of them claims to be the real Superman. They were Steel, Cyborg Superman, Superboy (clone of Cadmus) and the Last Son of Krypton. Suddenly, Superman emerges out from regeneration matrix donning a black costume, and he instantly killed the Eradicator. He went on to reclaim his identity as the one true Superman. It is to be seen how this film depicts the revival.

Up to now, the focus has been on the Batman played by Ben Affleck as he is the person in charge of setting up this special superhero squad that will guard the planet from imminent destruction. This is what the old synopsis also suggested.

Have a look at it:

“In Justice League, fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of meta-humans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions”.

However, the new synopsis puts the spotlight on Wonder Woman. You can see it here.

“Once again, Wonder Woman must demonstrate her ability as a fierce warrior. Facing a great enemy, she and Batman join forces to recruit a group of meta-humans to stand against this newly awakened threat. Having formed an unprecedented League of heroes, they set out to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.”

The Justice League releases on November 17, 2017.
