The MCU has grown and become the biggest thing in entertainment and sixteen movies later, it is hard to comprehend how far we have come.
With the recent release of a poster for Black Panther, we have a lineup of Marvel Cinematic Universe teaser posters.
1. Iron Man
This poster kicked off the MCU and shaped the mold for many MCU movie posters.
2. The Incredible Hulk
This poster like the film it represents is an outlier. It is a design that’s meant as a throwback to the classic Incredible Hulk TV series.
3. Iron Man 2
This was when MCU formula began to lock into place.
4. Thor
As you can see, by 2011, Phase I of the MCU was in full swing.
5. Captain America: The First Avenger
Marvel’s throwback story has got a standard poster.
6. The Avengers
The game changed when Avengers came around, as the movie brought together the MCU’s biggest solo franchise heroes into one place.
7. Iron Man 3
At the beginning of Phase II, Marvel Studios was too comfortable with its formula, which would lead to a new set of problems.
8. Thor: The Dark World
This is pretty much one of the most forgettable movies in the MCU lineup, so it’s little surprise that it got a cookie-cut and forgettable one-sheet to match.
9. Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Captain America 2 has almost the opposite problem than Thor 2.
10. Guardians of the Galaxy
Like Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy was a bold departure from the standard MCU movie formula.
11. The Avengers: Age of Ultron
The second Avengers team-up took an opportunity approach to its character hierarchy.
12. Ant-Man
Phase II of the MCU had ended with a disappointing stacked design, photoshopped, one-sheet.
13. Captain America: Civil War
Phase III of MCU has been about diversity, in every sense of the word.
14. Doctor Strange
Doctor Strange was all about visual presentation, and the film’s ambitiously psychedelic concepts of multiverse theory and magic are captured well in this initial one-sheet.
It is the only time since The Incredible Hulk that the hero has gotten to occupy the poster all on his own.
 15. Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2
16. Spider-Man: Homecoming
After much work to break new grounds with a visual representation of Phase III movies, Marvel put a bad one-sheet for Spider-Man: Homecoming.
17. Thor: Ragnarok
Thor: Ragnarok will be a stylistic departure for the franchise, thanks to director TaikaWaititi.
18. Black Panther
Black Panther takes classic Marvel one-sheet design and twists it around into something new(ish).
19. Avengers: Infinity War
Avengers: Infinity War is the biggest event that may happen in the MCU, and although it does not have an official one-sheet yet, fans have been designing some pretty great mock.
