DC Comic’s most beloved villain, The Joker is a very enigmatic character. The latest comic book “Batman: White Knight” will take the character’s role in a new direction, as he re-enters civilian life. In this storyline, he is cured of his criminal insanity, and his new name is very familiar to all Bat-fans.

Also, the Joker has been associated with many names; maniac, killer and the “Clown Prince of Crime.” But this is the first time that he has been given the name, “White Knight”!

Sean Gordon Murphy recently confirmed on social media that the Joker’s “real” name is going to be “Jack Napier”. This is the name of Jack Nicholson’s Joker from 1989.

“Big news: Jack Napier will be the name of my Joker. Warner just approved. 1st time Napier has been in a comic (minus Burton adaptations),” he said.

The news broke on Twitter this morning from his Twitter account along with some artwork from the new Batman: White Knight. What stood out was the release date of the comic, October 4. The name, Jack Napier has also been associated with The Joker in Batman: The Animated Series in the 1990s and Batman Forever.

“Batman: White Knight” is said to be a tragic story of a hero and a villain, Batman and Joker. But this story has a twist. The question is, who is the hero and who is the villain?

The engaging plot…

Joker is cured of his homicidal tendencies and is known as ‘Jack.’ Now, he aims to undo all the wrongs that he did. He first tries to reconcile with Harley Quinn and save Gotham city from the person who he believes is the greatest villain, the Batman.

DC released its new comic in June called Batman vs. Elmer Fudd. Here,  Caped Crusader squares off against the Looney Tunes character. Fudd starts to obsess over Bruce Wayne and Batman and stalks him throughout Gotham City.

Fans still wait for more of Batman: White Knight. While they wait, they can look through the tweets from Sean Gordon Murphy to stay abreast with the upcoming comic book.
