Superman vs. Thor: Who Would Emerge Victoriously?

The most well-balanced battle between a DC and a Marvel character has to be the one between the son of Odin and the superhero from Krypton. If we ever see a ‘last man standing’ battle between these two then it will certainly be a great watch for the fans.

Superman

The caped superhero was the last survivor of Krypton and known as Kal-El, the son of Jor-El. He arrived on planet earth as an infant at the time of Krypton’s annihilation. He grew up as Clark Kent, Son of Jonathan and Martha Kent on a Kansas farm.

With the passage of years, he began realizing his powers and to use them to help the earthlings. His powers include Super-Strength, Super-Speed, and unmatched agility. He also has powers like heat vision which can incinerate his opponents, freeze breath, X-ray vision that can enable him to see through walls, and the capability beat a bullet in flight. The only weakness that this guy has is Magic and Kryptonite which makes his Kryptonian cells powerless and can effectively kill him.

Thor

The king of Asgard is the Son of Odin and a God who protects all nine realms of the universe. He can control thunder and lighting through Mjolnir, his magical hammer that also enables him to fly.

The mighty hammer can be picked up only by the one person who is worthy of lifting it and is the key ally of Thor. Whenever faced with trouble, all that he needs to do is to call out for the hammer, and it reaches him no matter where it was.

Superman vs. Thor:  The Iconic Battle

Superman’s weakness against magic might seem to give Thor a superiority in this fight, but, just as witnessed in the case of many of Superman’s opponents, it would be suicidal to under-estimate the Superhero. The only reason he ever appears beatable is that he never really brings out the full extent of his powers in a fight. However, he will be required to unleash his full range if he has to take on the Mighty Thor.

A thunder attack of Thor can be repulsed by the heat vision of the Man of Steel, and none of them would give an inch. If Thor remained under an illusion about his opponent’s strength then it won’t do him any good as Superman can lift the hammer. Thus, we can say, “Thor can’t hammer Superman down.”

Based on the comparison of their physical strength, Superman can beat Odin Son even if he is a God. His speed can’t be matched by Thor, and at his max, Superman’s punches will rain out of thin air on Thor without him ever getting to see where the next blow came from.

Taking everything into account, we admit that Thor is a tough nut to crack, but, not so tough for the Superman who is going to win any battle with Thor.
