2. The Team
This section or aspect is something we already know a little bit about – who is going to be involved with actually making the film. J.J. Abrams will remain an important part of the team – though this time as executive producer rather than director, which means the all-important job of steering the ship has been passed on to Rian Johnson. In addition to donning the director’s hat, Johnson will also be the writer as was confirmed way back in 2014. You’d be surprise to know that filming began after that, way before The Force Awakens was released. This is good news for continuity, as Abrams will keep creative control in some areas to keep everything true to his vision for the first movie in the set.
As for the main cast, much of them is returning (except for the death here or there).
1. And all That Remains?
Having said all that has been said, the truth is, we probably aren’t going to know much more about the movie until it is released. I mean even forThe Force Awakens, we had to wait until the night to find out the key details. Character names and roles as well as storyline developments are going to be kept very much under wraps in order to main secrecy and the element of surprise. One thing that might shed a little light is the release of Rogue One(from the extended universe), in December 2016. It is set back in the past, between the original trilogies. Still, we get a feeling that it might give us some hints, background information, or prophecies of what is to come. Or at least we hope!
