8. Set Locations
The information in is that London is where the studio work is ongoing and it has been confirmed. But asidefrom that, it looks like we can expect some great locations to pop up. From the latest photos from the sets, the force is apparently strong in Croatia right now. The photos showed robed actors standing around in full costume. Apart from that, we couldn’t tell much from the photos but they are pretty exciting all the same. In case you didn’t know, filming already kicked off in an Irish Island, Skellig Michael.So evidently, large outdoor locations and majestic real buildings are going to picturesque feature in the film’s universe. We don’t know yet what can be expected of them to show us but we know that whatever it is, it is going to look amazing.
7. The Release Date
We have for you another big reason to get super excited: the release date is already declared and you can start ticking off the days on your calendars. Initially, it was announced that the film would be set exactly forty years and one day after A New Hope and was set for a release on May 26, 2017. It has been postponed and pushed back to December 15. The reason? Allegedly because of the huge success the pre-Christmas release date ensured for The Force Awakens. From marketing perspective, it makes perfect sense. Some have argued that, they are not sure the high attendance was just because they released it at the right time. To them I say, in addition from the fact that it is one of the most popular film series of all time, the festive mood and holiday family time is bound to pull old fans and new initiations to the theater.
