Solange, the sister of popular singer Beyoncé, is also a well-recognised singer herself. The singer, songwriter, dancer is incredibly talented and versatile as she has created music of different genres like R&B, pop, Hip Hop, Funk, Soul genre. The singer released her debut album “Solo Star” in 2002. The music industry readily accepted her impact as she put much effort in the amalgamation of music, culture, dance, aesthetics, and activism.
She also particularly likes to reveal that she feels proud to express what she has faced as being a part of black community and that’s how she cherishes her identity.
The singer has released four studio albums: Solo Star (2002), Sol-Angel and The Hadley St. Dreams (2008), A Seat at the Table (2016), When I get Home (2019). Solange has proved her talent as a producer as well. She has released hip hop style nursery rhymes. She is not only a talented singer, but also appeared in at least 14 TV shows and two movies.
For her amazing talent in music she was awarded the 59th Grammy award in 2017 for her R&B performance for the song “Cranes in the Sky”. She has also bagged BET award, Soul Train Music award, Glamour Award.
She was also acknowledged for her influence in music as she was the first winner of Billboard Women in Music Impact Award. She has been involved in promotional activities for several brands including Mercedes-Benz, IKEA, Calvin Klein which shows tremendous influence which is recognised by these brands.
