Shemar Moore has featured as Derek Morgan for a whopping 11 seasons of “Criminal Minds” series, and the best news for his fans is that he is not yet done with it.
Moore had also played the role for a short while during the Season 12 finale in May last. He joined the Critics Association summer press tour to promote the new CBS series S.W.A.T., and on occasion, he stated that his role in the new series doesn’t imply that he has moved on from “Criminal Minds”.
“Anything’s possible,” he was quoted as saying, “I told all the fans, I keep telling them those elevators closed and they can always open up again,”
He said he is thankful for all the performances he got to do on the way to his bagging the role of ‘Hondo,’ main protagonist in S.W.A.T., a lineup that includes over 400 episodes of playing ‘Malcome Winters’ in “The Young and the Restless.”
“Right now, my focus is Hondo, but if Malcolm needed to come back and flirt with his baby girl and take care of business, it could happen,” Moore said.
S.W.A.T. will premiere on Thursday, Nov. 2 at 10/9c on CBS.
