The fresh teaser trailer of Deadpool 2 is out, and it is absolutely wild. There is fresh footage. However, most of the two-minute trailer showcases a parody of the painting videos by Bob Ross. While a synopsis is given, but, it doesn’t really say anything about the film.
“After surviving a near-fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry’s hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste. Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor – finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World’s Best Lover.”
It is clear that this is not genuinely a trailer. It is in sync with what we had seen during the Logan promotional tour earlier in 2017. The only difference is that here we get some fresh footage. Deadpool is seen repeatedly, Vanessa (Morena Baccarin), Dopinder (Karan Soni), Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hilderbrand), Weasel (TJ Miller) as well as Blind Al (Leslie Uggums), all make their short appearances. We even get to see a glimpse of Domino (ZazieBeetz) and debutant Julian Dennison and a final visual of Cable’s techno-organic hand trying to grab a gun. That’s all.
Are we going to get an appropriate trailer? A lot of people anticipate a trailer to come out around Thanksgiving. Some fans see Deadpool 2 imitating The Last Jedi pattern and don’t expect the trailer to release until the film’s release date comes close. No matter what, we have at least got some visuals. Earlier when the filming had completed, this is what Ryan Reynolds had told the fans.
“That’s a wrap! Thank you to our beloved Captain, Mr. David M.lLitch… Words are too clumsy to properly acknowledge your giant heart and talent. I love my hometown of Vancouver and our obscenely gifted crew. From our PA’s, (who are first in and last out) to our set decorators and prop department, riddling this film with Easter Eggs in almost every scene… Thank you. I already miss being on set. Which is why I’ve decided to continue shooting the film in my underwear from Josh Brolin’s well-appointed living room.”
Deadpool 2’s filming was an emotional wringer for the cast and crew as there was the tragic incident in August when lady stunt artist Joi Harris, lost control of her bike and died during the filming of a bike based stunt. Production was halted briefly while an investigation took place, however, it shocked and grieved the cast and crew. Ryan Reynolds, Josh Brolin, and ZazieBeetz paid tributes to Joi Harris on social media, and after a few days, the production started again.
Deadpool 2 has a scheduled release date of June 1st, 2018 and there is a great deal of anticipation from this 20th Century Fox sequel. Ryan Reynolds and Josh Brolin next join hands to portray Deadpool and Cable in the Drew Goddard film X-Force, which is being scripted and has no official release date announced yet. However, as of now, let’s just enjoy this footage from Deadpool 2.
