Iron Man debuted ten years ago, and since then 18 movies have been released by Marvel. Now MCU is at the point where everything shown till now reaches its climax. In the words of Kevin Feige, Marvel has now put together a grand cast and is working to create a fabulous comic-book event as per its phase 3 plans. Fans are desperate for the upcoming Infinity War Series which is undoubtedly the most awaited movie series featuring a plethora of superheroes. The upcoming event Infinity War will give hints about what’s in store for the films and fans are ready to lap up even the tiniest of those hints.
So far we have seen the teasers of Mad Titan being shown in Marvel films especially during the post credits of Phase 2 and 3 films. However, Infinity War will be the real thing where Mad Titan will take the lead role. Thanos will become the deadliest inter-galactic being who is determined to destroy various worlds with the power of his Infinity gauntlet.
The Avengers Infinity Wars movies will feature an astonishing 70 plus comic book characters of Marvel during the series.
Russo Brothers had been earlier quoted as saying that the last two films in phase 4 will have independent story lines without linking in any significant way to the previous parts. First one of those will be a movie created from the viewpoint of Avengers, and the other will show you how Thanos sees things.
There won’t be significant changes to the plot of Infinity series which would have the same premise of Thanos finding out about the locations of mind gems. The one difference which cinematic version will have is that it shows the mind gem being possessed by Vision who is not among the elders of the universe whereas in comic-books all the mind gems are possessed by the elders.
Avengers 3 will show him take possession of all those mind gems and build an almighty Infinity Gauntlet by using them. This gauntlet will create global mayhem, and Avengers 4 will feature the Avengers joining hands with the Guardians of the Galaxy to take on this maniac Titan.
The new poster of Avengers Infinity War released recently showed Falcon, Steve Rogers in a new bearded look and the Black-Widow sporting a new blonde hairstyle. What was unusual was the fact that Steve no longer was featured in his usual Captain America dress, rather, he wore the Nomad Suit from the comic books.
During an interview with Huffington Post, Russo Brothers stated that Steve’s giving up the shield, “is him letting go of that identity. It’s him admitting that the identity of Captain America was in conflict with the very personal choice that he was making.”
The question of how will he battle against a powerful enemy without his shield is answered by the new role of Nomad which he has donned in the poster. This means, he will fight Thanos as well as his alien army but in a new persona and not as Captain America.
As shown in the promotional artworks of new Avengers, Steve Rogers sports a beard; Iron Man is shown wearing his Extremis or Bleeding Edge armor while Superman appears in the Iron-Spider suit which was unveiled in the closing sequence of Spiderman: Homecoming.
The new Spidey suit features stealth metallic armor, mechanical web-shooters, spider light, spider trackers, spider wings, push button change option, etc. The new film also shows in detail Groot as a teenager, Rocket, and the Star Lord. While all the Avengers look refreshed and ready, Captain America is the only one who looks weather beaten. It is exhilarating to see how all these superheroes will create the giant ensemble to fight a common enemy.
Avengers Infinity War is creating a lot of buzz and the build up has been gathering pace with near weekly updates on what’s in store. A couple of weeks ago, Benedict Cumberbach began shooting in Atlanta and since then we have seen him in a lot of on sets photos.
There is also a new video doing rounds on the web which features Dr. Strange taking on invisible forces which push him to use his magical powers to block an attack by forming an X with his hands. The powerful attacking force overpowers him and brings him down to his knees. This might mean that he was facing the Mad Titan who could have attacked him to take possession of “Time Stone” or Eye of Agamotto which was kept in Kamar-Taj in Nepal for safety reasons.
In another sequence of that video, Dr. Strange was shown again with his friends who also happen to be members of a secret society called The Illuminati which is probably the most powerful secret society ever. Kevin Feige has already stated that Illuminati will have some role to play in the upcoming film. Robert Downey Jr. is shown sharing a photograph with his Illuminati friends such as Benedict Cumberbach and Mark Ruffalo. One of the scenes shows the actors on a street littered with destroyed and burning cars. Downey Jr. is shown dressed in a motion capture suit in this sequence.
The set photos of this film show a previously unimagined duo on the NY streets – Dr. Strange the magician par excellence and the new look Spidey. Both are residents of New York and join hands to fight Thanos. When questioned about the relationship that Peter shares with Stephen Strange, Tom Holland replied, “We’re good friends. We’re the Londoners and the New Yorkers.” Film’s co-director Joe Russo was quoted as:
“They both have a proximity to each other if that’s a hint that I can give. Anybody who’s a Marvel fan would know that they both reside in the same city, and I think Tom and Benedict have a really wonderful chemistry and we wanted to exploit that.”
