Batman is always going to protect the Gotham City’s orphans, and the new Gotham By Gaslight animated film has proved that the Dark Knight’s mightiest enemies are incapable of keeping him away from the distressed children.

A new Batman: Gotham by Gaslight clip has been released last Friday by IGN. The clip features one of the several fight scenes of Bruce Wayne in the movie. You can check the video above which shows Batman take down a criminal called Big Bill.

When Batman was trying to converse with some young orphans, Big Bill intervened. He seems to be a huge guy with brass knuckles and he tried to push the Batman away from the kids. Luckily, the petty criminal was no match for Batman, who duly showed him his place.

After doing away with Big Bill, Batman once again talks to the children and finds out that they were all orphans, just like him. He then directs them to a place where they could stay safely.

Sam Liu has directed Batman: Gotham by Gaslight which stars Bruce Greenwood as Bruce Wayne. Jennifer Carpenter has lent her voice to Selina Kyle in the film. The movie is based on the first Elseworlds graphic novel from DC, and it will be available on-demand from January 23, and on Blu-ray on February 6.
