Moon Ga-young is a German-born South Korean actress. Moon was born on 10th July, 1996 in Karlsruhe, Germany. She relocated to South Korea with her family when she was 10. Even as a child, Moon showed an inclination towards acting and started off her career as a child artist acting occasionally in films and Television.
She made her debut with the 2006 To Sir, With Love playing a younger version of Eun-Young. She earned her first leading role in 2014 with the miniseries Mimi, playing the titular role. The 4 episode series was aired on Mnet. She followed this up with the 2015 web drama Exo Next Door where she played the female protagonist.

Moon played supporting roles on dramas like Don’t Dare to Dream (released in 2016) and Live Up to Your Name (released in 2017). Both shows were considered great hits. In 2019, Moon ventured into comedy and starred in the series Welcome to Waikki 2 as one of the main cast members.

She was the female lead in the 2020 Find Me In Your Memory. Moon catapulted to global fame after she starred in tvN’s True Beauty (December, 2020) as the female lead Lim Ju-kyung. One of her upcoming works is the 2022 tvN drama Link: Eat, Love, Kill.
