Marvel has recently announced that Greg Pak and Carlo Barberi are kick-starting World War Hulk II, the sequel to the World War Hulk storyline (2007). This sequel is set to star Amadeus Cho as the lead role, and this will bring him to Earth from his long time on Sakaar. The world is not at all ready for our green goliath’s return.

After his encounter with Bruce Banner in Generations, Amadeus struggled a lot with being the Hulk. This had an impact on people who were close to him and those who he claims to protect. After being on Sakaar, he has let a few of the restraints go and is coming back to Earth as a different person.

“What follows Planet Hulk II?” SVP Tom Brevoort and Executive Editor have asked.

“World War Hulk II, of course! To survive in the savage world of Sakaar, Amadeus Cho was forced to unleash his darkest impulses! Returning to Earth, now the Hulk is at the wheel—and it’s a more unpredictable, more unconquerable Hulk than any we’ve seen before! The heroes of the Marvel Universe must intercede as the Formerly Awesome Hulk begins to carve his path across the world.”

The World War Hulk had taken place after Planet Hulk which had seen Marvel’s Illuminati send Hulk to space. He was destined for a paradise planet, but he got misdirected and landed on planet Sakaar. There, he battled for superiority in an arena against Gladiators. He would lead the resistance to reclaim this land and find love as well. A whole lot of meddling from a source resulted in her death and this enraged Hulk. He is now returning to Earth to bring justice to those who had sent him to space.

While the culprit has been revealed, Hulk has devastated the heroes of Marvel Universe. It seems like Amadeus Cho will follow in Bruce Banner’s footsteps.

World War Hulk II is set to kick off in Incredible Hulk #714.
