Born October 10, 1985, Marina Lambrini Diamandis, is a Welsh musician, singer, songwriter, and record producer. Her stage name has previously been Marina and the Diamonds but presently, she mononymously goes by Marina.

Marina was born to a Greek father and Welsh mother in Brynmawr and raised in Abergavenny. She moved to London during her teens to pursue a career in music despite having limited formal experience in music. She placed 2nd in BBC’s Sound of 2010, in 2009, causing her to gain prominence. The album was produced entirely by Marina and David Kosten. Her fourth studio album Love + Fear (2019) charted at No. 5 in the UK chart but did not have as much international acclaim as Electra Heart or Froot.
