She may have had a short career but with 29 films in just 15 years, she more than made up for it. She started like many others with an attempt at modeling and soon after signing up with the likes of Columbia Pictures and 20th Century Fox did films like The Asphalt Jungle and All About Eve.

A majority of the films she did, however, had her cast as a typical dumb blonde much to her dissatisfaction. Some of her other famous movies include How to Marry a Millionaire, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes and The Seven Year Itch. She even formed her own production house which went on to deliver hits like The Misfits, Some like it Hot and many more.
